Alice Walker

Alice Walker won the Pulitzer Prize for her novel, The Color Purple.  Her most recent book is We Are the Ones We Have Been Waiting For. Coming in 2010 are The World Has Changed: Conversations With Alice Walker, and Overcoming Speechlessness; A Poet Encounters the Horror of Rwanda, Congo, and Palestine/Israel.  Due in 2012 is:  Hard Times Require Furious Dancing: A Year of Poems.  An activist and social visionary, Ms. Walker has been a participant in most of the major movements of planetary change

Jack Kornfield

Trained as a Buddhist monk, Jack Kornfield is co-founder of
Spirit Rock Meditation Center, an international teacher, and
author of numerous books including The Wise Heart; After the Ecstasy, the Laundry; Buddha's Little Instruction Book; Soul Food: Stories to Nourish the Spirit and the Heart and A Path with Heart.

The Scottish Rite Center is wheelchair accessible.

ASL interpretation services will be provided at this event for the deaf community.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

- All cancellations received before March 2 will receive a full refund, if requested, minus a $10 processing fee.
- All cancellations received between March 2 and March 19 will receive a 50% refund, if requested, minus a $10 processing fee.
- No refunds will be issued for cancellations received after March 19.
